A few days ago the comedian took a group of nuns by surprise at the Holy Spirit Hospital during a visit to their cancer centre and declared that he would donate Rs 10 lakh.

They thought it was just another announcement. But a few days later, Johnny kept his promise and sent them a cheque.

A couple of years ago, the comedian's young son Jesse was diagnosed with a malignant tumour in his neck. It was during this time that Johnny turned to the Bible to help his child battle cancer.
