The song was shot at the Norbulingka monastery in McLeod Ganj where waving of Free Tibet flag in the backdrop was shown in the song.
The song has triggered a dispute between Central Board of Film Certification and director of the movie Imtiaz Ali.
The Board has ordered Ali to blur the flag and free Tibet slogan before the film hit the silver screen this Friday, but the director has refused to do it.
Imtiaz Ali said, "I am not concerned at all.I have been out of India for long and don't know whats going on, but I don't see anything controvercial in the intention portrayal in the movie."
"The purpose of the movie is not to make any social message, its more about personal freedom rather than a geographical issue, " added the director.
But Tibetan fans of Rockstar Ranbir is upset over the decision taken by the censor board and has decided to protest by carrying the flag with them to the cinema halls this Friday.
The song, ‘Sadda Haq' has gained a special importance at the back drop of the India-China relationship.
Imtiaz further said, "In the movie we see that the voice that he raised was because of his own problems, personally with society, found echoes in various quarters like as Tibetan issue."
The songs of 'Rockstar' by A.R.Rehman has already electrified the youths. Thew song 'Sadda Haq' is considered to be one of the most popular songs of this year.
