Cold vibes at the launch of their film seemed to confirm the buzz that all's not well between the stars

Sonakshi Sinha and Ranveer Singh will be seen together in an upcoming flick. The young duo, who couldn't stop raving about each other, ironically maintained distance throughout their film's launch recently.

Though they were cordial with each other on stage, there was an undercurrent of tension between them, which was more than apparent backstage.

Says a source, "The way Sonakshi and Ranveer have been raving about each other, one expected sparks to fly between the two. But the chemistry was missing. On the contrary they were quite aloof backstage and kept to themselves."

One could feel the cold vibes between them. While giving interviews, Sonakshi displayed her ire when she was told to wait for Ranveer during a joint media briefing. He, on the other hand, stuck to monosyllabic replies.

In the past

Shatrughan Sinha's daughter was quite besotted with Ranveer after the release of his debut film and had even stated on Karan Johar's chat show that she would love to go on a date with the newcomer.

They had performed together at an international awards event in June and shared good chemistry on stage. But it seems she is now no longer fond of him.

Visibly irritated

As reported 'Change of opinion' (Hitlist, November 14), she is irritated with Ranveer's overfriendly behaviour and wants to keep a distance from him.

When asked about it she shot back saying, "Yes, that's why I am working with him." Ranveer also strongly denied such claims. "I share an entirely professional relationship with Sonakshi, " he says.

A source from the production however adds, "They are quite fond of each other, but they were purposely keeping a distance to avoid further speculation."
