Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty, who had refrained from starring with his son Mahaakshay, afraid that it would jinx his son's films, has finally given his go ahead for a project.
The film titled Enemmy (the two 'm's are in homage to the father-son duo), will be a cop film directed by Ashu Trikha. The director was reportedly adamant that his film star Chakraborty, and while the senior actor acquiesced, he has laid down three conditions.
According to a source, "He (Chakraborty) said he did not want to be cast as Mahaakshay's father. Secondly, the two will not be required to dance, and certainly not together, and third that he won't attend the film's mahurat, and incase anyone persisted, he would opt out of the project."
When contacted, Chakraborty said, laughing, "Right from the start of my career I have stayed away from mahurats. I am superstitious about it. And if it's my son's film, I'd be doubly so."
According to the source, "Look at what happened when Dharmendra appeared with Sunny Deol in Sunny, and Rajendra Kumar with Kumar Gaurav in Love Story. His (Chakraborty's) fears were not unfounded." The former was a flop, while in the latter, Kumar had several disagreements with director Rahul Rawail.
