Referring to Mel Gibson's controversial biopic of Christ, documentary filmmaker Michael Moore said he would
rather make films about the Messiah's non-violent teaching.
The Oscar winning director of "Fahrenheit 9/11" told Vanity Fair: "If I were to make a movie, it would be about
turning the other cheek. And the meek shall inherit the earth."
Moore is disturbed by the ease with which "the vulnerable can be manipulated, twisted by images on the
screen", said imdb.com.
Gibson's "The Passion of Christ", released last year, was blamed for rousing anti-Semitic feeling through a
graphic depiction of Jesus being scourged before his crucifixion.
