Eva Marie Saint, who starred opposite Cary Grant in the Alfred Hitchcock thriller "North By Northwest", is in talks to play Clark Kent's mother in "Superman Returns".

Newcomer Brandon Routh will play the Man of Steel and his alter-ego, Clark Kent, in "X-Men" director Bryan Singer's upcoming film, said Contactmusic.com.

"Beyond the Sea" actress Kate Bosworth will play Superman's girlfriend Lois Lane. The supporting cast includes Oscar winner Kevin Spacey as Superman's nemesis Lex Luther, British actor Hugh Laurie and "X-Men" star James Marsden.
