Hollywood's Latin beauty Jennifer Lopez is turning to the director of her first hit, "Selena", to revive her
flagging Hollywood career.
Gregory Nava, who directed Lopez in the 1997 film about tragic Mexican singer Selena Perez, has cast the
singer-turned-actress as an American investigative reporter, said imdb.com.
In the film, which begins shooting in March, Lopez's character goes to a Mexican-US border town, Ciudad
Juarez, to report on the mysterious deaths of several women there.
Lopez has just finished filming acclaimed Swedish director Lasse Hallstrom's "An Unfinished Life", opposite
Robert Redford and Morgan Freeman.
Lopez's recent films, including "Gigli", "The Wedding Planner", "Jersey Girl" and "Enough", have flopped.
