Mumbai Police arrested actor Kapil Jhaveri and his friend Tarun Mehra for making threatening phone calls to
film producers Maansingh Deep and Kalyani Singh, who are currently making "Gehri Chaal - The Final
Move".
Deep claimed the calls were made at the behest of their heroine Kanishka Kapoor, alias Niki D'Souza, who
was given her first break in Deep's film "Raja Bhaiya" starring Govinda.
The first call was made Jan 17 and was followed by nearly 60 threatening calls until Jan 28. Deep's car was
also smashed Jan 26.
