Govinda's recent appearance at Congress party functions raised quite a few questions and has set the rumor mill buzzing with speculation of sorts. He was awarded the Rajiv Gandhi Sadhbhawana award recently and was also present at a function in Mumbai where Congress President Sonia Gandhi was also present.

So is Govinda joining politics a la Shatrughan Sinha/Raj Babbar/Sunil Dutt? "I have no intentions of joining any political party. My profession keeps me sufficiently busy and I have no time whatsoever for politics. I have good relations with the Thackeray family. I also share a good rapport with the Gandhi family. But that does not mean I am joining any political party." Govinda clarified at a press meet where the question weas raised by quite a few interested parties.
