It was a Christmas made special for Ranvir Shorey by megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who praised the actor for one of his drunk scenes in a movie.

"@ranvirshorey Oh! May never get an opportunity to say this to you perhaps...but, a drunk scene you did in a club sequence - was incredible, " Amitabh posted to Ranvir on micro-blogging site Twitter.

Overwhelmed Ranvir wrote back: "@SrBachchan Am thrilled you even remember anything I've done sir! I'm guessing this is from 'Pyaar Ke Side Effects'...Thank you!"

The actor and former VJ, who has featured in films like "Traffic Signal", "Bheja Fry" and "Mithya", added: "It pays to be on Twitter on Christmas. Dear god, this is as much happiness as I need for one Christmas. Spread out the rest to others! Amen!"

"Thank you @SrBachchan, Sir, for making it a truly merry Christmas for me!"
