Salman Khan ushered in his birthday on Monday midnight with a bash at his Panvel farmhouse.

The star, who turned 46 yesterday, had family besides several Bollywood folk in attendance.

However photographers were not allowed beyond the gates.

Interestingly, Arpita Farms (named after his younger sister) has a signboard that reads: A bird in bush is better than two on the plate!

Is it the Khan-daan's bit for going green? Or is it their version of the proverb: A bird in hand is better than two in the bush?
