LeBlanc, 37, said he was far happier fronting his own TV sitcoms because he wouldn't have to face losing his credibility by teaming up with an incompetent film director who could potentially destroy his career, reported the Internet Media Database.
The "Joey" star had tried to transform his worldwide fame into Hollywood success by acting in films like "Lost in Space" and "Charlie's Angels", but the roles proved hard to come by, he said.
"I do look at movies, but they are so hard. They are such a different animal - you're coming into a completely new set of circumstances. You don't know if the director's good unless they are a really big director, and I haven't had that luxury," LeBlanc said.
"Also, you don't know who the crew is, or know the environment - you're usually filming in a foreign place. I like to be able to watch television and go to sleep in my own bed at night."
