A local court today adjourned till April 29 an alleged cheating and forgery case filed against actress Rakhee
Gulzar by a property developer.
The court adjourned the matter as Rakhee sought time to engage a lawyer.
The local court was to frame charges against the actress today.
Rakhee had appeared before a Kurla magistrate on September 30 last year in response to a summons and
furnished a personal bond of Rs 5,000.
The summons was issued in a cheating case filed by developer Chandulal Patel, who alleged that the
actress had obtained his services for construction of her farm house at Panvel but later refused to pay the
dues.
Patel filed an FIR with the Chembur police station on May eight, 1999 and accused the actress of forging
accounts.
