Popular television actor Kunika Sadanand Lall will campaign against Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi in the Raghopur constituency in the assembly polls.
Kunika, who figures in popular TV serial "Ghar Ghar Ki Kahani", said she would campaign for Lok Morcha candidate Vidya Kumari in Raghopur, from where Rabri Devi is
seeking re-election.
"I will simply request people to vote for the Lok Morcha candidate to defeat Rabri Devi," tells Kunika told.
She said that she wanted Rabri Devi defeated as according to her the Bihar government symbolised "corruption and criminalisation of politics".
Raghopur is one of the 93 constituencies that will go to the polls in the third phase of polling Feb 23.
The chief minister was elected from Yadav-dominated Raghopur by a thumping margin of over 60,000 votes in 2000. It was in Raghopur that Railway Minister Lalu Prasad
won in 1995 when he was chief minister. It is considered a safe seat for her.
Interestingly, a maidservant, Manju Devi, is also contesting against Rabri Devi as a candidate of the Rashtravadi Janata Party (RJP). The contest between Manju and Rabri
Devi is being projected by many as a fight between a 'naukarani' (maidservant) and a rani (queen).
