Noted music composer A.R. Rahman will be conferred the Lata Mangeshkar Award 2004 at a function in
Indore, Madhya Pradesh, April 24.
The award, instituted by Madhya Pradesh's Department of Culture, carries a cash prize of Rs.100,000 and
a citation, sources here said Monday.
Lata Mangeshkar was born in Indore.
Rahman will also give a performance after the felicitation ceremony.
