The cast of a forthcoming multi-starrer shot at a UK castle that was also portrayed in a Hollywood film based on a Victorian classic
Sajid Khan's next comic caper, Housefull 2 has been shot at the Burghley House in UK, the same castle where the Hollywood movie Pride and Prejudice based on Jane Austen's Victorian novel was shot.
The director says, "One of my characters in the film is a billionaire from UK so I needed a splendid house.
So after many days of recce and hunting and visiting almost 250 castles in different areas, we decided to go ahead with this one in Peterborough." Describing the castle, Sajid says, "It's a 400-year-old palace. I liked
the structure, the scale of the place and the ancient charm it had."
It is natural to assume that shooting at grand locations don't come with a low price tag. Sajid informs, "Since it's a historical place, we were not allowed to shoot inside the castle because the ancient tapestries and
artwork and the royal paintings on the walls do not react well to the film lights.

We were allowed to shoot around the castle and only in certain areas inside it. We shot there for 15 days. I had special permission to take 3D imaging photographs inside and I replicated the interior of the palace on a
set in Mumbai."
Speaking about the shoot at the castle, Sajid adds, "In the opening scene where the palace is revealed, I have shot with two helicopters. We were not allowed to take them on top of the castle because the vibration
could have caused some damage to the structure."
