"The film gives the impression of being a sure-shot success. The look of the film is great, so is its narrative. Director Dharmesh Darshan is in his element no doubt. The songs are also a treat to watch," says Ravi Machchar, the Nizam distributor of the film, who has been waiting all this time for the film's release.
"The biggest plus point about the film is that it has been made keeping the Indian audiences in mind and has been made in chaste Hindi. It is definitely not targeted at the overseas audiences and the Oscars," adds Machchar sarcastically, referring to the recently released BLACK.
Machchar has no apprehensions that there are six other medium-budget films releasing against Bewafaa. "They are likely to be of little consequence at the box-office," he says.
He isn't the only one who's excited about the film. Mumbai distributor, Rakesh Sippy, who has been consistently releasing Boney Kapoor's films, is confident that the film will have a long and uninterrupted run at the box-office. "It definitely has the potential of a promising box-office innings," he says.
Meanwhile director Dharmesh Darshan is glad about the "feel good reports" in distribution circles. "The distributor is a direct link with the audience and the positive buzz about the film is definitely encouraging though I have never gone out of my way to appease distributors. Nevertheless, creative satisfaction apart, the audiences are important to me and I make films for them," he smiles.
