Now here is a question filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali seriously needs to answer. Is Black his original work or is it a blatant copy of William Gibson's double-Oscar winning classic 'The Miracle Worker'?

The 1962 Hollywood flick stars Anne Bancroft in the lead role of an instructor, who teaches blind and deaf Helen Keller played by Patty Duke.

The pangs and traumas Bhansali's little Michelle goes through are visibly similar to Patty's superb portrayal, whereas, Big B fills into Bancroft's shoes to accomplish the nearly impossible task of teaching this physically challenged girl.

Call it a mere coincidence, as Debraj's Alzheimer makes his ambitious task a wee bit more daunting; the female teacher in 'The Miracle Worker' suffers from half blindness.

So, is India's slickest film ever a plagiarised work or a sheer inspiration from the true story of Hellen Keller, rent a DVD and decide for yourself.
