Much has been talked about the great bonding that Kareena Kapoor and Sushmita Sen shared during the making of Bewafaa. The two are playing sisters in the film and according to director Dharmesh Darshan, the excellent tuning between the two, which started off as an essential pre-requisite for the film, turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

Recalls Dharmesh, "I was very firm with Kareena from the beginning that I wanted her to have a great relationship with Sushmita, because if the two were not comfortable with each other, the bonding of the two sisters would not come across on screen, which was the basis of the film. Sushmita was wonderfully gracious about extending a hand of friendship despite the fact that Kareena plays the central character and she has a special appearance in the film. Fortunately for the film, two hit it off very well with each other, making great on-screen sisters."

So much so that at the end of the one-month long schedule of the film in Montreal, both Kareena and Sushmita had become thick friends.
