"It is a date that has been cautiously arrived at by the producers one week after the Indo-Pak series ends on April 17. We were particular about avoiding the double barrel attack of the examination period and the cricket series, which led us to arrive at this particular release date," Menon reveals.
Produced by Vijay Galani and Rahul Sugandh and presented by Boney Kapoor, the film has been in the news ever since it was launched for Rekha being cast in the unique role of a glamorous con-woman, who cons rich men out of their money.
Mallika plays her sister and accomplice in the film. Post KIS KISKI KISMAT, there were doubts being raised about whether Menon's next film would have a tough time finding buyers but there has been no dearth of buyers for the film. The recently released television teasers of the film have got the producers an excellent response according to Menon.
Irrespective of its box-office fate, Menon feels that it was a memorable experience working with Rekha in the film. "She is one of the legends of the Indian screen and it was a challenge working with someone of her caliber. The biggest quality about her is her openness to suggestions and the eagerness to grow with each performance, which makes actors of her ilk a very successful lot," he states.
