It's better late than never for Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor. After the two skipped the opening of the Muscat International Film Festival, buzz is that the two might attend the event today or tomorrow.
Reportedly, the screening of their latest film, Agent Vinod, was cancelled after the two didn't show up on time to catch their flight to Muscat from the Mumbai international airport.
It is also being said that Saif and Kareena had security concerns after the venue for the opening night was changed from the SQU Grand Hall to Al Bustan Palace Hotel's Oman Auditorium.
Besides, he was keen to stay at The Chedi Muscat, as he wanted to meet a cousin who stays close by. On the other hand, the organisers had other plans, as they had arranged the actors' stay at the festival's official hotel, where his mother Sharmila Tagore, the chairperson of the jury, was also put up.
Needless to say, fans were disappointed with them not turning up for the event and the organisers had to then juggle the event itinerary. However, a source associated with the actors maintains that Saif was taken ill due to exhaustion after constant travel for his spy-thriller's pre-release promotions.
At the time of going to press, Saif and Kareena were awaiting their passports before making their travel plans to Muscat
. Our informer explains, "Saif and Kareena are set to travel abroad for an ad shoot. As soon as they sort out their passports and visas, Saif will plan the Muscat trip. Both the actors are keen to make this visit before the festival closes on March 31."
