Chartering a flight from Patiala to Delhi is not an easy thing and Ajay Devgn learnt it the hard way

Thanks to the presence of a military camp in Chandigarh, Devgn almost missed attending a music launch event in the national capital on Friday.

A unit member from the actor's latest project says, "We also heard of an alert being sounded in view of the Punjab government's plea for clemency for Balwant Singh Rajaona, who had been given a death sentence in the assassination of former Chief Minister, Beant Singh, by the Supreme Court. "

Fortunately, permissions to fly came through in the nick of time.

"It was only after that that Ajay's trip to Delhi was finalised, " said our source, adding that the actor-filmmaker would have had to cancel a day's shoot if he was forced to drive from Patiala to Delhi.
