Banned terror group Indian Mujahideen (IM) founder Riyaz Bhatkal allegedly got his passport under Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's name from Ranchi in 2010, said intelligence sources on Tuesday.

According to highly placed intelligence sources, Bhatkal obtained his passport under SRK name from Ranchi on January 21, 2010 which led Interpol to issue a Red Corner notice.

"The Intelligence Bureau alerted airports across the globe about Riyaz Bhatkal carrying a passport with Shah Rukh Khan's name in it," sources said.

Sources said Bhatkal uses a new name in his passport every time he flies abroad.

Pertinently, SRK was detained for two hours at New York's White Plain airport on Thursday.

He arrived at the airport in a private plane on Thursday to address Yale University students after being named a Clubb Fellow.

According to officials, Khan was stopped for two hours for his immigration clearance.

The university officials had to intervene and get Khan out of the airport with the help of the Department of Homeland Security and the Immigration and Customs Department in Washington.
