With films like Tere Bin Laden, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and London Paris New York under his belt, Pakistani actor-musician Ali Zafar is quite a popular name. But he's planning to take things slow and give himself a much-needed respite.
Apparently, he hasn't taken a vacation in a long time now and so has decided to return to his country for a while. And he is more than happy about this abrupt break.
According to a source, he spent a lot of time at home, jamming with his teenage brother Danyal, who is a blues and rock guitar player. Ali loves to spend time with him but due to career related commitments, he hasn't been able to do so lately.
During their younger days, they used to practise together more often and play different songs. That has relatively changed since Ali's move to Bollywood. No wonder, the singer is cherishing every minute of his leisure in his hometown Lahore.
Both strummed their guitars to some old numbers from the late Nursat Fateh Ali Khan's huge body of work. Being a self-confessed fan of the Pakistani music legend, the siblings had a great time playing his tunes. Together, they also gave a twist to his melodies and spent the day discovering what a great composer he was.
The source adds that the singer couldn't stop gushing how epic Nusrat's compositions are as well as how he's experimenting with his classics while learning new things.
Ali Zafar confirmed, "Yes, I managed to get some time off work and had an amazing time jamming to some classics from Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan with Danyal. Pure music happened. Moreover, it's always great to be home and spend time with your loved ones."
