Manoj Bajpai values his friendship with filmmakers Prakash Jha and Sanjay Gupta so much that he even goes on to claim that he would do anything for them. In fact, he signed both the directors' forthcoming films even before actually listening to the script or even discussing remunerations.
Bajpai says, "These are the two people in this industry who I consider my very good friends. I do their films not because of good roles or money. It's pure friendship.
They have given me great roles and trust me as an actor. I can't be ungrateful to them." The actor was seen in Jha's Raajneeti and Gupta's Dus Kahaniyan and Acid Factory.
The actor has just finished shooting his next and is leaving for Bhopal today for Prakash Jha's film. Bajpai points out, "When Prakashji approached me, he said that he would really want me to do this film.
He also said it's not a big budget film, so there is not much money involved. I readily agreed because I think of him as my friend. For me it was not about money or the role. He wanted me in the film with so much heart." The actor will start shooting Gupta's film in June.
