Leading music company Sony Music on Thursday announced it has acquired the right of romantic comedy 'Student of the Year'
(SOTY).
Co-produced by Dharma Productions and Red Chilies Entertainment, the movie is a launch pad for starlet debutants Varun
Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Siddharth Malhotra.
Vishal- Shekhar have composed music for the film.
"Sony Music's association with Karan Johar and Dharma Productions goes back a long way. ‘Student of the Year ' is a very
special project for us and we will weave in innovative marketing elements into the campaign to connect with the youthand the fans
at large," said Sanujeet Bhujabal, Marketing Director, Sony Music India.
Director Karan Johar said, "I am proud to associate yet again with them on SOTY, a film that launches three new talents and is a
celebration of youth, music and dance."
The film is slated for release in October.
