Sonal Chauhan spent Wednesday in a rather irritated mood, despite the day being her birthday

Reason? The actress thought her co-stars and crew had forgotten the her big day.

While the starlet's friends and family kept calling to wish her, co-star and ‘good friend' Neil Nitin Mukesh and the director duo Shantanu and Sheershak were planning to surprise her. They had told the entire crew not to wish Sonal.

When the actress couldn't take it anymore, she grew cranky and impatient. Finally, Neil and the rest finally wished her and brought a big cake to celebrate. Says Sonal, "I was really surprised and first thought that they had forgotten my birthday."

Takes swimming lessons for '3G'

The actress was a hydrophobic as a child, but she has overcome her fear of water by learning how to swim for her next film "3G", currently being shot in Fiji.

As part of her preparation for her character, Sonal has completed her swimming training and is all set to take on scuba diving as well. Being a non-swimmer, she underwent a strict training routine.

"What's ironic is the fact that Sonal was hydrophobic ever since she was a child and would avoid stepping into the water. She didn't want a stunt double to do any of her scenes and thus decided to take her fear head on," said a source. "She started the initial bit of training with a world-renowned scuba training instructor and will be completing the remainder of her training in Fiji. She's totally committed to making this work for her and her character," the source added. "3G" also stars Neil Nitin Mukesh.
