"Cinema is all about human experience whether you're in India or any other place, emotions of the human being is all same everywhere," Ridhima, who is from Delhi, told.
Written and directed by 25 different filmmakers from five continents, "The Owner" releases Friday across the globe. It is a bouquet of 25 small segments and each one is connected by the backpack's journey.
The 23-year-old will be seen in the Dubai segment of the movie, helmed by US-based Pakistani director Sahad Shaikh.
"I'm playing a 20-year-old girl in the movie. My boyfriend in the movie is an attention seeker and he flirts around. He also has an on line girlfriend. It's a fun role to play. Just like the guy, I'm also a spoiled girlfriend who is looking for something new. It's fun to indulge in the character," Ridhima added.
The actress got the role through a social networking website.
"Yeah, somebody sent me a link of the director on the social networking website and I got the role, I don't think there is a big deal about it," she said.
"The shooting experience was unique as the segment was shot in Dubai. The country doesn't have an exciting film industry; there are no studios or infrastructure, so it was a little challenging also. There were no places for rehearsal," said Ridhima, who shuttles between Los Angeles and Mumbai for her work.
Keeping herself busy with theatre, Ridhima learned acting from the New York University.
"I go back to Los Angeles for theatre every year. I learned camera, acting. I trained under Lary Moss, who also trained Leonardo DiCaprio," she said.
The actress believes that every cinema is good cinema.
"I want to work, I don't care whether its Bollywood, Hollywood or Lollywood. Every cinema is a good cinema. The audiences have a global outlook. Everybody has the internet, they know what's going around in the world, sensibility has become standardized, I wanted to be able to do good work."
