Emotional after a fairy tale victory of the Knight Riders (KKR) in Chennai, the team's owner Shah Rukh Khan on Sunday night apologized to his fans and supporters for the brawl in Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on
May 16 after a match.
"I have subjected you to a sight of me which is not me," he said and apologized to the people after the win of KKR against Chennai Super Kings.
"Please forgive me," said Khan who was in the field with wife Gouri and daughter besides his young cheer girls.
Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has slapped a five year ban on SRK in the Wankhede stadium after the brawl with the MCA officials after his team defeated Mumbai Indians in the IPL match.
SRK had earlier refused to apologize for the incident and after it occurred told media that he became aggressive only when they 'manhandled' the children under his responsibility at the stadium and misbehaved with
him.
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by five wickets in the final match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the A Chidambaram stadium here on Sunday.
