Now, the veteran actor has even learnt the Gujarati accent for his role in an upcoming Gujarati film. "I haven't spoken Gujarati in the film but I did learn the accent by observing the way people talk," adds the veteran actor about his debut in Gollywood.
The film depicts the journey of a young man and his fixation with fulfilling his dreams of settling in USA. It highlights a very poignant issue faced by a lot of Gujarati families who aspire to settle abroad in search of a better life.
"I have known the director (Abhishek Jain) for a while and have seen his short film Rehman as well. When he first narrated the story to me I was impressed with his clear line of thought and technicality.
Also, working with a young crew and that too for a Gujarati film, the idea simply appealed to me," maintains the sexagenarian actor.
