Zee TV's popular soap 'Pavitra Rishta', produced by Balaji Telefilms, has completed three years.

"The simple love story of Archana and Manav, has been able to create a good emotional connect with the audience even post leap" said an official statement on Wednesday.

"It's a very good feeling and it can't be described in words. The credit goes to the entire team of Pavitra Rishta. I am honored and proud to be a part of this project. We have cut five to six cakes today," said Ankita Lokhande, who plays Archana, on Wednesday.

"I would like to thank the audience for loving Manav and Archana's love story. It is because of the strong storyline, the performances of the actors on the show, that it has managed to work even after the leap" she said.

"I am extremely happy to be a part of this show which has been climbing the TRP chart even during the IPL. I believe that the viewers of any show will continue to watch it, even during cricket season, if the content is good," said Hiten Tejwani, who plays the role of Manav.

"What I think has worked is that we have not played with the basic core of the show like others do in fear of IPL. There were no forced high points or unnecessary drama," he said.

Rithiwik Dhanjani, who plays the role of Arjun, said, "First of all I would like to thank Ekta m'am and the creative team for churning out such a beautiful show.

"Secondly, the credit should go to Ankita and Hiten, for giving amazing performances and they truly deserve the glory of being India's most beloved lovers. And last but not the least, do hand us, the young generation, for adding a new lease of life to the show."

The current track of the show has Manav and Archana attempting to salvage what is left of their broken marriage by staying under one roof after 18 years of separation.

The feisty Savita Tai returns from Canada and finds out the shocking truth that Archana is back in their lives.

Not one to take things lying low, she bares her fangs, instigate the younger generation of the Deshmukh family against their mother and create a rift between Manav and Archana.

Even as Purvi's love for Arjun blooms and their romance is only beginning to brew, she realizes that Ovi has always been head over heels in love with Arjun.
