Latest reports suggest that village leaders of the Khap Panchayats in Haryana, have dropped the idea of inviting superstar Aamir Khan and his wife Kiran Rao for the Mahapanchayat being held at Bibipur village on July 14, to discuss the raging issue of female feticide.

Apparently, the decision was taken as some local panchayat leaders objected to the portrayal of the issue of honour killings and their connection to Khap Panchayats in an episode of Aamir's show Satyamev Jayate on Star Plus.

Reacting to the development, Bollywood PR guru Dale Bhagwagar said, "It's unfortunate that Aamir Khan will not be there. His star presence and persona could have made a real difference in the discussion over widening of sex ratio in Haryana."

"It could have put the Mahapanchayat meeting on a national platform, garnering huge media attention; which a noble cause like this deserves," the publicist added.
