"It is a very beautiful location, which has its own distinct identity. I specially chose it because it will give an authentic look to the film which is inspired by the life of a woman who witnessed the upheavals of the 1971 India-Pakistan war. It will definitely be a very colorful film with all its ethnicity," Chandra informs, adding that she has just finished completing the script and the screenplay of the film and is now finalizing the dates when she'll commence the film.
"I am keen on beginning the shooting next month but knowing that there are heavy sand-storms in the Kutch area in this period, I am looking at other options," she adds.
Meanwhile, she has confirmed M.M. Kreem for the music of the film. "He has a great sense of orchestration and is great when it comes to doing music for an emotionally intense film," she says.
She is also looking at the option of sub-titling the film in several languages considering its story and cast. "With its story and the cast of Sushmita Sen and Jackie Shroff, it could very well have a global appeal. I am definitely looking at the film getting a global exposure prior to its release," she says.
Tanuja's other film, HOPE AND A LITTLE SUGAR, is now in the final stages of post-production and is likely to release in the middle of the year. However, she is still waiting for Sahara One to clear the release of her FILM STAR, which is awaiting release for more than a year now.
"I am tired of pursuing with Sahara for the release of the film. I have pursued, persevered and made repeated requests but for some reason, there seems to be no response and concrete line of action. Besides, the set-up in Sahara has entirely changed with Akashdeep no more being at the helm of film-production. I have reached a stage where I have almost given up on the release of the film now," she says.
