Abhay Deol is on cloud nine after being appreciated for his role as an IAS officer in Shanghai

But it isn't the critics' review that the actor is excited about. Abhay feels that public review is most important and honest. Abhay told CS, "I enjoyed acting in the film and that shows on the screen.

All my efforts were appreciated, especially my Tamilian accent." He further adds, "Few of the best compliments I got for my role were when Tamilian friends and fans called up to say thanks. They were so happy that I didn't make the character look funny and typical. I'm proud that I got it right."
