0n Monday, March 21, Rani Mukherji turned 27. And this year was even more special for the actress. Post Black, the actress has been basking in critical acclaim and
praise from peers within and outside the industry.
Not one to rest on past laurels, Rani says, "I've put Black behind me. Right now, I have my whole family with me in Goa celebrating my birthday. What more can I possibly
want?"
Sounding breathlessly in high spirits, the beauty adds, "Nothing gives me more happiness than being with my family. When I got a day off from shooting for Shah Rukh
Khan's film Paheli, I saw it as a God sent. I quickly packed my bags, got my family together and here we are in Goa, just for the day. I feel I'm in paradise."
The calls and wishes from family and friends seem far more special this year. "I don't know why, but the best wishes this year are accompanied by people saying they want
me to do better work and climb higher summits in my career.
I'm looking forward to returning home to Mumbai to see all the bouquets lined up in my living room. It would be a reminder of how much my well-wishers love me. Maybe I'm
just blessed," she sighs.
Early this morning, Rani returns to Shah Rukh Khan and the shooting of Paheli. "But not before I have a ball down here in Goa," she warns.
We wish her luck and far more fame and glory in the coming years. She is one of the few actresses that deserves it!
