The 23-year-old Miss India UK finished the 2012 British series in the third place, after being the most nominated Housemate of the whole season.
When asked if Deana lost out because of unfair comparisons to Shilpa Shetty, Dale remarked, `Glory is always individual to the person who attains it. Matching up to past magnificence, has never been an easy task for anyone. Thus, all comparisons between Shilpa Shetty and Deana Uppal have always been unfair.`
The PR specialist, who nurtured Brand Shilpa Shetty in the media through the thick and thin of Big Brother controversies, pointed out valid comparative occurrences on the show, which he termed, `the world's biggest reality drama`.
`There were similar instances, like fights over food and culture, verbal attacks followed by thousands of complaints to UK television watchdog Ofcom, as well as alleged insinuations of racism. All this brought back memories of Shilpa's plight, ` he observed.
While the comparisons might have helped Deana with a platform to make a mark on the show; unlike Shilpa, Deana who was accused of playing the 'race card' seemed to have no organized PR mechanism in place, to turn the controversial affairs in her favour.
