For all of you who have rocked to the 1981 cult hit Disco deewane, sung by Pakistani singer Nazia Hussain, there is a reason to rejoice. For his upcoming film, Karan Johar has apparently adapted the track, recreated by Vishal Shekhar and sung by Sunidhi Chauhan.
Some portions of the old song by Biddu and Nazia are also retained in the song. Our source says, `Karan was keen to recreate the song and has used it in the film that has been picturised on the lead cast of Siddarth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt.`
The source adds, `Karan wanted the first song of the film to be a chart buster. He was always clear that out of the six tracks for the film, Disco deewane would be the first song for the audience. His decision was approved by the entire team.` Karan Johar remained unavailable for comment.
