"The one-dayers especially have a severe impact on the box-office. The matches are unlikely to get over by April 17. The unanimous decision was why take the risk when you can afford to wait," director Suneel Darshan was quoted as saying.
Darshan, who hopes the delay will give an additional boost to the film's music - which he claims ranks No.2 on the industry's music charts now, is also looking forward to a lot of pre-release exposure, thanks to a tie-up with Sangini diamonds.
"Brand tie-ups give films distinct noticeability in the market," he said.
