Pakistan's hottest band 'Strings' and singers Najam Sheraz and Amir Jamal will enthral audiences at the Bollywood Awards that will be held April 29-30 in New Jersey.
Kamal Dandona, chairman of the Bollywood Awards, said his company wanted to promote amity between India and Pakistan.
"From the very first Bollywood Awards in 1999, we have had top Pakistani performers partake in our events. Now, the Indian film industry, too, has embraced and recognised Pakistani talent," he said in a release.
Strings, whose hit album "Dhaani" was part of the blockbuster "Spiderman 2" soundtrack, has built up a huge fan following since 1990. They recently bagged MTV Asia's "Most Favourite Band" award.
Pop star Najam Sheraz who composed the hit track "Bheegay Hont Tere" for the thriller flick "Murder", and singer Amir Jamal, the melodious voice behind the chart-topping hit "Kaho Na Kaho" from the same film, will also perform at the event.
Previous Bollywood Awards have played host to American celebrities Richard Gere, Sharon Stone, Michael Jackson, Tyra Banks, Steven Segal, Jean-Claude Van Damme among others.
