The Mumbai police Tuesday arrested film producer Hemang Desai for allegedly running an illegal telephone exchange.

Desai had reportedly set up a telephone exchange in suburban Mumbai that allowed incoming international calls to bypass Indian telephone companies.

Desai, producer of the film "Yeh Tera Ghar, Yeh Mera Ghar", was produced before a local court Tuesday.
