After her long absence from Bollywood, Jiah Khan was recently in the news for signing a three-film deal. Buzz is that the actress is all set to play lead in a new film, an erotic period drama


Our source says, "The film is set in the 17th century and is based on secret diaries handed over to director Madhureeta Anand by the award winning author and historian, William Dalrymple. The film has been titled Maharani."

Buzz is that a veteran actress will be cast in a negative role in the film.
