Actress who is shooting in China is taking time off to explore the picturesque Hunan region

Amy Jackson is currently shooting in China for Shankar's Tamil film that has Vikram as her co-star. The filmmaker is known to shoot his projects in exotic locations around the globe. As the unit is filming in the northern Hunan province of the country, the starlet is taking time off to explore the fauna and flora of the region.

Amy considers herself to be an adventure junkie who loves to travel to new places. She is keen to visit the well-known Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in the vicinity. The park is known for its icy gigantic pillar-like formations. These formations are a distinct hallmark for thousands of acres and can also be found in many ancient Chinese paintings.

Says a unit source, `As it is a long schedule of over 40 days, Amy plans to take two days off to explore the park. There are a lot of local crew on the sets, the place.` The mountains are also believed to be the model behind the scenery in James Cameroon's Avatar.

As reported 'Off to China' (Hitlist, September 14), Amy who has been missing from the scene in Mumbai was busy with AL Vijay's Telugu film in which she also stars opposite Vikram. Soon after the film wrapped up the starlet began her preparations for the China outdoor of Shankar's shoot.
