Madhur Bhandarkar's last film "Heroine" didn't garner too much praise, but the filmmaker is happy with the kind of cinema he has made so far.

"I think the sharp journey, it's hard-hitting and real. I never left any people, from traffic signal to the film industry. I am very happy with the kind of cinema I have made, the kind of research which I have done," the 44- year-old said here Wednesday.

The National award-winner has touched upon lives of bar girls, fashion industry members, corporate people, and those who live by traffic signals through his various films.

Bhandarkar says his films make certain people apprehensive and admits they do get upset, but he is nonchalant.

His next will be announced soon.

"Right now I am taking a break and after sometime, definitely, will announce my movie very soon," Madhur said.
