Baweja is also not keen to cash on the excellent response to the two four-minute trailers of the film.
"They have got me an excellent feedback but I still want to have a very gradual release for the film. That is because the film is the kind that will grow on the audiences with word-of-mouth publicity. It is definitely not the kind where you can flood the market with prints on the lines of QAYAMAT," Baweja reveals, adding that he is looking at a maximum of 253 prints all over India.
There is a considerable curiosity value about the film among its distributors, despite the fact that Ajay will be seen in an all-new role in it. So have the distributors caught a glimpse of the film after all?
"Not at all. I am not in the habit of showing any of my films to distributors prior to their release. It is not just this film, but all my films. They all know that I deliver and that is enough for them to have faith in the film," he enthuses.
Isn't he disappointed with the response to KARAM?
"Not really. The film fared better than what I had expected it to, at a time when a majority of star-studded films are biting the dust at the box-office. The film did a business of close to Rs 1.25 crores in Mumbai. In Delhi, it grossed a business of close to Rs 1 crore, which is an achievement in today's times. I have no regrets about KARAM," he quips.
