Uttar Pradesh cabinet today exempted Ashutosh Gowarikar's 'Swades' from entertainment tax for the next three months in the state.

The state cabinet meeting here presided over by Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav took the decision.

Swades narrates the story of an NRI scientist at NASA, portrayed by Shahrukh Khan, who comes to his native village and decides to stay on for improving the lot of his people.
