While Bobby Bedi awaits the grand premiere of The Rising at the forthcoming of IIFA in Amsterdam, there are issues that remain to be sorted out as far as this film goes.

The Movie Stunt Artiste Association has complaints against the producers. President Rashid Mehta reveals, "A sum of about 35 lakh rupees is yet to paid to the fighters; and a similar amount remains to be paid to fight masters. The federation has asked us to settle for 75 per cent of the actual amount, but we are not going to agree. We have decided to ban them."

Bedi and lead actor Aamir Khan were unavailable for comment. But it is rumoured that Khan is unhappy with the way the film has shaped up. In fact, he refused to change the Mangal Pandey look even after the film was complete, so that he could reshoot bits if necessary.

In fact, Khan wasn't pleased with the initial draft of the script. He asked director Ketan Mehta to involve a few more writers and gave them his own suggestions too.
