On the way to LA for a charity event the actress was supposed to fly into New York City from London before covering the final lap of her final destination.

`And now I'm here in London. I was on the way to NYC en route to LA. Now with the storm in NY I am stuck in London, ` grumbled Sushmita goodnaturedly from London on Wednesday afternoon.

'Stuck', perhaps is not the right word. Because Sushmita decided to make the best of the time in London, catching up with a couple of old friends whom she hadn't met for a while.

Though she's tightlipped about the purpose of her visit to LA, we've come to know Sushmita was flying in to attend a fundraiser for an organization named Pratham. From Los Angeles, Sushmita is to fly into San Francisco for another fundraiser for a charity called Home Of Hope.

She flew out alone this time without her two daughters, as they are not allowed to miss school under any circumstance.
