Sources say that the film's satellite rights have been traded for Rs 25 crore. A source associated with the film says, `Yamla Pagla Deewana went on to become a hit, setting the cash registers ringing. The talks of making a sequel had been on ever since.

Going by the rushes of the sequel that were shown to a few distributors, the buzz around the film has gone up. The same channel that had purchased the rights to the first film has struck a deal for the new film.

It is the highest price any Sunny Deol-Dharmendra film has fetched till date.`
