As India celebrated Diwali on Tuesday, late filmmaker Yash Chopra's last directorial venture 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' hit theaters with promises of entertaining Indian audience in the festive season.

'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' features Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma in lead roles.

The film is clashing with actor-producer Ajay Devgn's 'Son of Sardaar' (SOS), which also hits the silver screen on the same day.

"May Allah bless our film... it looked so beautiful on the big screen. Had a lovely time dancing and partying with all, " Khan tweeted.

Ahead of the release movie buffs witnessed fire works when Devgn had sent a legal notice to Yash Raj Films and alleged that it was using its strong position in the industry and pressurising exhibitors to promote late filmmaker Yash Chopra's last directorial venture 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' over his 'Son of Sardaar'.

Reacting to the tussle, Khan earlier said: "I wish both the films do well. Sometimes some statements get misconstrued, but I hope God bless both films. "

Fair trade regulator Competition Commission of India (CCI) last week said it had rejected Devgn`s complaint.

"The Competition Commission of India has held that there is no contravention of the provisions of the Act by the alleged agreement between Yash Raj Films Private Limited and its various associated enterprises, " read an official statement.

"The Competition Commission of India passed its order in the case filed by Ajay Devgn Films against Yash Raj Films Private Limited, " it said.

"The informant in this case, Ajay Devgn Films, stated that the agreement entered into between Yash Raj Films Private Limited and single screen film exhibitors at the time of releasing its mega starrer film Ek Tha Tiger in July/August, 2012, was anti-competitive, " said the statement.

'Son of Sardaar' features Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Juhi Chawla and Sonakshi Sinha.

Pertinently, Devgn is producing the film.

However, the audience will give its verdict on the performance of the movies now.
