"It is very nice of them to come forward and speak for the film. It is indirectly an appreciation of the hard work and creative effort that has gone into the film. It was entirely their initiative and I thank them for it," Mishra says.
The down-to-earth Mishra, whose films have won a lot of critical acclaim (IS RAAT KI SUBAH NAHIN, CALCUTTA MAIL, CHAMELI) irrespective of their box-office response, is keeping his fingers crossed about the box-office response to the film.
"It is a tale of politics, love and ambition and in that respect I am sure the Indian audiences will be able to relate to it," he says, adding that he has lost track of the countless number of festivals at which the film has been shown so far.
"The film was to feature even now at the Washington Film Festival on April 20. The film has the unique distinction of being featured at a record number of festivals and winning critical acclaim wherever it was shown. I only hope it has a similar effect on the box-office," he says.
